Ok all, Swampthing gets general de-virginized at this one. The team names are Twisted Physter / Runs and Hoses. Personally, I want to general Twisted Physter since it fits with my tounge in cheek rename of the event "Monsterous Cock: Battle in the Spandex" but I'll take either side. I figure the kid I am going up against will want runs and hoses anyway so ....
I have some really rock your ass off ideas for making this way over the top fun. I still have to get the special characters and props approved by the big man but I don't forsee any real issues. One thing I am going to request is that Fatal Paint be on my team as I will need u for bodyguards as well as a very special team role (if it gets approved).
As promised, any time you want to go hunting Ajnin, I will become a field general and put myself in harms way to lure them in. May even put up 2 cases of paint to any tag wearer who can kill Ajnin to get to me and 1 case if they kill me while he is protecting me. If u up to the challenge that is Ajnin :D ;)
as far as props and ideas go, i am all for anything that fits the theme. I am workin with my buddy Jim to get his motor home going so we can take it and tow my tank up there or maybe just the trailer to haul all the props up in.....ya there could be that many. I am planning on being there a day early if I can but if not I will be there Friday afternoon sometime.
Lets all pray to the rock gods that the weather will be ideal for rockin' hard. I know you guys always bring extra water and I am going to buy a bunch at wall mart once i am there to make sure hydration isn't an issue for anyone.
Not too concerned about spies finding out my plans as I don't care if I win or lose as long as everyone has a blast.....although I believe it is impossible to rock harder than i can. I am bringing a real Jackson Randy Rhodes sharkfin flying V guitar (all black of course) with practice amp and effects pedal.....why?....cuz
I WANNA ROCK!
Post who can make it and any ideas u have for rockin the combat zone. Right now I am looking for a decent karoke machine that contains or can contain just about any rock song on the planet, so if you find one up there relatively cheap, check it out and if rocks, let me know.
got a really kick ass idea for general intoductions I'll pass along to u guys privately as to not spoil the suprise for my opposing general. It will most definately set the tone for the entire event.
Can you tell I am a bit into generaling this one? :)

well if it's proper 80's hair I seriously doubt that the marballs that come out of that paint trailer are even going to break... unless you have one of those plastic wigs... which.... well remember the heat? yea.. not a good idea

I have Virus as my XO so I can honor my commitment of putting myself in harms way for dogtag collection by my bodyguards. The bit with fridaddy was just a distractionary tool to get into my opponents head. Unfortunately and yet fortunately simultaneously, lockdown has been recruited to support my opponent as I think it is his first time generaling as well. If this is how it ends up I am sorry to not have the support of such ass kickin role players on my team as lockdown but also excited that they will be doing so for my opponent, making the challenge that much more exciting.
Fatal Paint is the only other team I directly requested to have support my first generalship and I hope (and believe) there will not be any problem with that. Not that I don't respect all the teams that come out and make TAW events so much fun, I just found some instant kinship with you guys, especially in play style/tactics that always makes Fatal THE choice for a role such as bodyguard to the rockstar!
Have so many friggin ideas for making this ridiculously fun for everyone that I have filled 2 pages of a notebook with event/prop notes. Have already begun construction on some of the key ones. my tank will be comming out to this one but may be in an event theme modified role.
I am going to be at the pump only scenario and we can go over any ideas you guys have along with what I have thus far. This theme really allows for some insanely fun concepts and props. I am not worried about big D's "points for props" deal as I would gladly go into the red deeply for the entertainment payoff of some props I am developing. Fun is what it is all about in my book baby!
I will be bringing my electric guitar, effects setup and a practice amp for serious rockin as well as some fake guitar and base secondary weapon setups. If any of you guys find a honda generator for sale at a decent savings let me know. looking for 3kW size Super Quiet model EU3000IS as the preferred (hondas msrp is $2k....OUCH!)
You guys ROCK and we are going to have a blast for this event.

..We topped the hill at last and spyed the general alone in a field. Silently we made our approach. We soon spotted a group of Ninja ballers rushing to defend their leader. Quickly we made our escape.....FATAL

MONSTERS OF ROCK: BATTLE OF THE SPANDEX STORYLINE & CHARACTERS!

”For Those About To Rock… We Salute You!” – AC/DC
“Mic check, check, check, one two, one two” A frumpy, tattered shirt wearing roadie spoke in a lone microphone located on a stage in a nameless town and in a nameless bar. After awhile, they all looked the same. The locals, more irritated with the crappy sound system and constant feedback soon would see history change.
The 70’s saw a musical revolution of epic proportions and music technology began to boom in more ways than one. It was a decade of big sounds, harmonies and productions. One of the first bands to really take notice by the public wore black and white make up and character specific and elaborate costumes. One of the characters was a demon type of character who would “breathe fire” and spit fake blood… grotesque but entertaining none the less. It was a time when it was cool to be hairy. In fact, the hairier the better it seemed. Walking shag carpets so to speak.
The music was complex, intricate & deep. But then things began to change, the almost melodramatic tones were bombarded with sights, sounds and color not seen before. Guitar riffs ripped with lightning speed, punchy rhythms, skin tight bulging stretchy pants, new color (neon) explosion and big, I mean BIG hair!
The world was a gasp at the new look of Rock and it seemed that the more make up and the more hair spray was used, the more popular band would be. Oh, their music didn’t have to be good. In fact, more often than not, the music sucked and bad. However, the girls swooned at these new guys of rock and it didn’t matter if these guys looked more like girls than the girl groupies chasing them, they had the fair share of the “spoils” of being a rock star!
Yet, despite the influx of new “glam rock” bands that were popping up all over the world, some die hard “classic rock” bands still held true to their art. Girl bands both on the classic rock and the new glam rock scene were also starting to pop up with this new found popularity in the rock music industry. However, some self proclaimed titans of the glam rock scene pushed the envelope on morality and taste to get the “edge” over their competitor bands. Some went to the extreme with make-up and hair spray while others took a grungy almost guttural look.
One group in particular spearheaded a demented and almost comical look and they are Twisted Physter whose obscene clown-like personae has brought laughter to some while sending others with clown phobias to seek therapy. They have been dominating the music scene for years with catchy anthems for youth and their comically entertaining music videos.
However, a new breed of band have made their debut of recent. Fronted by their self glorifying front man, Axle Pose of Runs and Poses has declared musical war on the drag queen type glam band Twisted Physter. Everyone in the industry knows that there is no love lost between these two bands and that war is now growing as other bands across the spectrum have started taking sides in support.
It is the dawn of the 80’s and a fight for the stage. Roadies, the pawns of this heavy metal game of chess secretly sabotage opening acts and headliners alike in this spandex ridden debauchery. Speakers stacks tower above like Goliath, drummers bash their sets with unrelenting fervor, bassist pang away and pluck at their basses all while guitars scream like banshees in the night and lead singers whail into their microphones and act like Prima Donnas.
Who will reign supreme? Who will have the ULTIMATE World Tour? Who’s amps will go to 13 instead of 10? Who will hold the spotlight of success?
With the Twisted Physter World Tour choke out Axle with their self righteous anthems of anarchy? Or, will the Runs and Poses World Tour put the fists together and deliver the knock out blow that will put the clown-like has-beens into the pages of no-hit wonder history books?
Only YOU can decide! So, calling all 70’s, 80’s and even some of you early 90’s hacks, you know who I am talking to you… “You! Yes! You!” (Pink Floyed – School Master Character Voice), the ones that have secretly hidden your spandex and over inflated cod pieces, Aqua Net and eye liner… bring em and show us what you are made of!

Freakin' Awesome!!! That was the most fun I've had in a while. It was great getting to play with everybody. You all rock! Special thanks to the Fatal boys for letting me tag along and making me feel welcome. Swamp Thing was rocking as general. He made things interesting to say the least. I also loved playing with Stalker Painball. They were some of the nicest people out there, and still some of the most outgoing. Anyway, loved the event, had a blast, cant wait to do it again. After my massive sun burn fades of couse.

There was someone shooting video of me when I was doing the night game concert but I don't know who it was. Going to post on TAW forum to try and track it down.
BTW:
since you guys were instrumental in our team's victory, I put together an award that was strangely missing at the event.
Fatal Special MoR Award (http://www.flickr.com/photos/daves_not_here/2817381486/)
Anytime one of you is going to general, all you have to do is let me know beforehand and I will fill any role you need for the event.
Also, if you should decide to take a road trip sometime down this way for a game at our home field, you are all welcome to stay at my house for the weekend.
...yes, I did say all of you, Fatal is Family...
I got plenty of floorspace and a few extra bedrooms. Just let me know in advance so I can prepare my wife for the Fatal invasion ;) .
