The Mini boasted many innovations and new technology.
The most obvious being the pattented gas through grip. The Mini uses an ASA/Regulator unit that mounts directly to the gripframe and is connected to air passages that deliver air to the marker's valve without the use of hoses. No more macroline to kink or burst, no more cumbersome fittings to get in the way. The Mini's valve design is a pattented Pressure Controlled Poppet (P.C.P. for short) Design. Poppet valves have the ability to be extremely effecient and allow the setup to be very small. Weighing in at 1.9lbs WITH barrel and ASA and battery it's probably the lightest marker on the market right now. And running at under 200 PSI the Mini is also gentle enough to shoot some very brittle paint.

I first had the chance to shoot an invert mini at a practice and I was impressed with it's light weight, small size and increadible speed. I used the mini during a 30 minute long speedball type match called the "T.A.W. Blender" in Oroville CA in October. I was immediately hooked. I have shot a wide variety of markers in my 10+ years of Paintballing. I love automags because of thier light weight and accuracy. But they have always been slow gashogs. The Mini was fast, effecient and best of all, dead on accurate. After barrowing the marker from a friend, I went and bought one. I immediately had problems. The first problem was blowback. The first 2000 or so Minis produced had a minor flaw in the poppet that allowed it to open too soon, causing air to push the second bal in the feedneck up into the hopper. That spells blender. I called KEE action and they immediately recognized the problem. Without even asking for a serial number they told me a new poppet would be on it's way, and i would have it by the end of the week. Well I did. KEE's product support is amazing, and I am forever sold on thier products because of that. I've been playing with the mini for some time now. I don't think I will ever put it down. For a marker that costs less than $400 to be this accurate, reliable, fast, and such a high quality product is unreal. The mini even comes in it's own custom designed padded aluminum case! And it's performance rivals that of markers costing MUCH more.

Me shooting Brewtt's Invert Mini during T.A.W.s Riendeer Games in Oroville. (a bad eye board had plagued my mini during this event)
COSMETICS:
The lines on the mini, while simple, are very well executed. The tapered stock barrel and scalloped front end look flawless. There are no milling marks on the mini, and the finish is wonderfull. The Mini comes in Gloss Black, Gloss Red, Gloss Blue, Matte Silver, Olive Drab, and a custom Sunset Orange.
BARREL:
The stock barrel on the mini looks great. Like most stock barrels it is a severely overboard .692. Heavily ported, the barrel makes this marker as quiet as can be, quieter than an ION, MUCH quieter than an ETEK.
REGULATOR:
One of the Minis features that set it apart from the rest is the ASA/Regulator asembly. The dual unit mounts directly to the gripframe where it connects to air passages in the frame. The regulator was capable of keeping up constistant pressures/velocities over the chrono even under high rates of fire.
PROS:
Light, Fast, Small
Low Cost
Very easy to maintain
Effecient
patented gas through grip means NO HOSES
CONS:
Early models had issues (all fixed now)
May be too small for some players
directly mounted regulator doesn't allow drop forwards for those old school players
HES Trigger<Microswitch
OVERALL RATING:
8.7 of 10
NOTES:
If you're looking for an ultra fast setup, one that is both light and isn't going to kill your budget - Check out the Invert Mini. I just purchased another one to use as a backup as well as for my team mate and girlfriend to use.
JF has them in Stock, so get 'em quick because at the price they're going for - they're going to be gone fast.
