OPERATION: URBAN DISTURBANCE STORYLINE & CHARACTERS!

For decades, we have seen the steady decline of western civilization. We thought it was evolution and growth, but instead it was just the beginning of the end wrapped in a pretty bow. In the mid-later part of the 20th century, we saw the Cold War; in the beginning of the 21st, we thought we saw hope… the promise of positive changes as we boasted of a new “awareness”. However, we were wrong.
Corporate conglomerates began to grow even more than they initially expected. The populations, depended more and more on these “Corporates” whom had dubbed the general public as the “Over-Pop”, whom they saw as an over breeding, under achieving mass of waste. The Corporations eventually became the new form of government by which many countries across the globe were ruled by.
Over-population was one of the alarming trends seen and acted upon too late… and by 2014 AD, there seemed to be no room… for anyone. The streets became war zones when the start of new “birthing” policies and other unacceptable and other all too controlling sanctions were put into place. You needed a license to breed, heck, it seemed like you needed a license for everything, even to live. The problem was, if you didn’t work for the Corporations, you did not have the money nor the ability to even be considered for licensing. This sparked riot and after riot until one day, it happened.
It was called THE BLACK OUT.
Power grids across the globe were systematically taken “off-line” in an attempt to cripple the Corporations. There were many that claimed responsibility for the act, but no proof could be produced of those claims and then, subsequently, they were debunked. Society as we knew saw itself in a new Dark Age. Or so it thought.
The would-be crippling blow only seemed to help strengthen the Corporations as it caused them to act quickly in becoming self contained and not relying on “The Grid”. Power was now worth more than its weight in gold to the Over-Pop as it was not as readily available to them.
The streets, littered with the debris and faded memories of a once past life, were run by the Over-Pop. It was their domain, their rules… yet it didn’t seem like they really had any. The Corporates attempted to instigate Martial Law more than once… but they were failed attempts. When the last M.L. Declaration failed, the Corporates, who held control of military prowess, demonstrated that power.
In 2021 AD, the first “Cleansing” was initiated. This was a horrific act… one that would leave cities intact or with minor damage, yet kill off the population or most of it, first very quickly, then sustained over time. The purpose of this “cleansing” was to address and “correct” the over-population problem but also to re-establish control by the Corporations. They, the Corporates deemed the multiple “Cleansing Acts” over the following years a success, however, they soon realized that the cleansing was not absolute. Handfuls of the Over-Pop survived and rebelled.
The survivors within the Over-Pop began to lockdown and rebuild their tattered lives and sought to regain the once lost human side of existence…. Civilization.
Will the Over-Pop renegades be able to rebuild their once lost or destroyed civilizations? Or will the Corporates regain control of the masses and begin “cleansing” again? Two factions, hell bent on survival and control go head to head in the ruthless battle for power and survival.
