OK so I know this has nothing to do with paintball but here it is anyway.
One of the hottest phones one the market, 3rd from the top below the iPhone and the Razer the Chocolate boasts music playing power above any other phone on the market.
Well, it works. With my micro SD card - I was able to get over 180 songs ripped from CDs (through LGs plug-in for WMP) onto the phone, with room to spare. you can sort by album, genre, and playlists. Now everything on there fits into the 'industrial' genre so I sorted everything by playlist with 28 of them making up various 'mood music' for my walks home or to the bar.
As for the cell phone part... well I use it alot. I can usually go a week or longer without having to recharge the battery, whcih usually takes less than 4 hours. That's listening to music, talking, downloading, texting, everything. Unbelievable.
Now I was a bit unsettled about the touch pads durability. They are fragile... requiring only light taps to opperate. but what about being in a pocket? does that damage them? Well - after owning the phone since april with only about 54 talking hours on it the buttons have been getting finicky. Sometimes i'll flip up the phone and it'll start scrolling automatically through menus and options, or automatically calling the last person who called me or texted me. Annoying to say the least. But usually a couple of well orchistrated wacks on the knee or back of my shoe get it working properly for the next few hours.
The LG 6xx blue tooth headset I bought for the phone has worked flawlessly. It's advertised 8 hours of talk time (more like 20) is one of the best in the industry. It's light, small and barely noticable. There are so many times i've been told at work "NO CELL PHONES!" and I have to think for a few minutes before I realize I'm wearing it. The volume is more than enough, turn it up too high and those around you will hear your angry girlfriend screaming at your for leaving the AC on at home. I was told a few times that I sounded like I was one speaker, but after using it more and more That's faded to people telling me they can't tell the difference.
Overall I give this phone an 8 out of 10
-1 for the buttons and -1 for the buttons.. they suck.
everything else is great
The new second gen Chocolate should be even better. :D
