The latest Combat Zone news today:

Breaking News !

As most of you know Combat Zone in Oroville, CA was in jepoardy of losing most of their field to eminent domain, however, stars aligned, prophecies fulfilled and just all around a streak of good luck now has combat Zone back in the game!

They have been going thru an all-out reorganization blitz and have focused time, money, resources and a whole lot of blood, sweat and tears into making Combat Zone once again a crowning jewel when it comes to paintball fields.

TAW is proud to announce that we WILL be having Reindeer Games V on December 4-6, 2009--YEP, this year!!

We are also extremely proud to announce that Combat Zone booked TAW for 4 events in 2010 and 2011! That's right, you heard it here first! The 2009 dates and 2010 dates are as follows:

December 4-6, 2009
February 19-21, 2010
May 7-9, 2010
July 16-18, 2010
December 3-5, 2010

Our 2011 dates for Combat Zone will be announced shortly. Shelly and I will be making a trip up to Combat Zone when we get a break in the weather to take pics of the new field developments and to map out the new field layout. Registrations for Reindeer Games V (2009) is immediately being put together and will be up shortly. Don't miss out on bringing this great year to a fantastic close and ring in the new year with a vengance! TAW's event schedule goes live momentarily!

Way to go Combat Zone for making this happen for the players!

Just played at combat Zone last weekend, two new grass fields and a brand new USPL airball field... netting and chrono area are 100x better.

Nick told me they are getting a new compressor that should be able to offer 4500 psi fills so that's a big plus to those that like to stay on the field longer.

Thanks for the report!

How is the size of the whole field affected?

When I drove by it looked the same size as before from the outside. The wood boxes were gone in the cp area though.

I'm not sure how much of the back half of the field is chopped off... I know it's been used a lot for off-road competition (rock crawling and mud stuff) recently so it may not be much use back there.

what used to be the front "CP" with all the tanks and rocket boxes is now a grass field, set up much like a hyperball field using stacked up metal boxes. there is no "CP" building.
All the woods and stuff are still there.
