Hello Everyone,

After hundreds of hours designing, testing, modifying and re-testing, the new Widowmaker Paintball Productions website is finally here! But, it is far from finished. In fact, it is designed to be an ever evolving project and it needs everyone’s help to make it happen.

This new site is actually a database driven Content Management System (CMS) and is capable of doing whatever we need it to. The content is primarily Article based so that means we need to have articles to grow our archives. These articles can be submitted by anyone via email (or email attachment) to be included in the CMS database.

Our new forum also does not have any topics or headings yet. That is because, I would like to hear from all of you on this subject. The same goes for questions and answers to be added to our FAQ collections. This project is a true joint/team effort and that means you and all of those players/potential players out there.

I am asking all of you for some input on this and also to get the word out to the other players you know and have them submit their comments or ideas. I can’t guarantee that everything will make it to the headlines or front page but I can guarantee that it will all be looked at and reviewed. The biggest thing to remember is that this site is for the purpose of getting the word out about us and the events, sharing information with each other, promoting our sport and working together for the future. It is not for the purpose of others to hijack our forums or article archives and trash talking or bad mouthing others will not be tolerated. There is enough of that everywhere else already and we don’t need that anymore. Some of us have lived through it and know what it can do.

Please, get as many people as you can in on this but in order to be successful and continue to thrive, we need to be able to rely on actual results versus promises of support that we have experienced in the past.

I am looking forward to hearing back from you as soon as possible so please respond promptly.

Hello All,

The 2009 Season is fast approaching and the hope is to have a few more events this year, but the games need the players in order to continue. For the 2009 Season, the plan is to bring the “big game” feel and fun to every event hosted. There is also a new push from both sides of the State line to develop and promote a small series event that will be played out at different locations in the Sierra Range of our region.

There is also a new location on the web where you can stay tuned in on events, projects, communicate with friends or make new ones. The new home of the Scenario/Tactical based paintball for the region is www.widowmakerpaintball.com and the new site, even though it is in it’s early stages, is up and running. There is a new forum community as well for everyone to get to know each other. The new site is very unique and different from anything in this area yet and is actually a place for you, players, to share some of your experiences, ideas, or anything else that you think is fitting by submitting information for articles and other site advances for the future.

We too understand how the economy is right now but we also know that paintball is still one form of recreation that is being pursued in this area. As in the past, our intentions are to allow the participants to bring their own paint and air, but is we can find some vendor support for events that are capable of (and willing to) provide support services to events, we will also welcome this opportunity. To learn more about what is up and coming in our sport, just visit the website link above and tour around. And remember, the site is just getting started so if you have an idea or something that you want to get out to the rest of the paintball community, don’t hesitate to contact us.

We are also looking at the possibility of bringing the Airsoft community into our event programs so if you are a player in one of the groups or know of anyone who is, put a bug in their ear and let them know about the website.

We hope to see all of you in the coming months and look forward to sharing comments with you within the new Community Forums.
