Initial Review:
The boots are lightweight, especially for a shanked entry boot (much lighter than heavy lugged army boots). This means running longer, faster and in the end; winning. The boots have vent holes - important to keep your feel breathing. And they are oh so pretty.

Testing:
Nope - they are not waterproof. Allthough RG does offer a waterproof boot. They shed mud easily, due to the lug design which also offers significant traction even in slippery mud and sand. I never once had to watch my footing with these on. The lugs are soft for hard rocky areas, and hard enough for unpacked dirt and mud. The zipper makes it very easy to slip on and off, which is nice when you have to jump in a car after a long day. The biggest gripe I have about most boots is flex. These boots flex at the ball of the foot, and the ankle front to back, but just try bend your foot sideways - it doesn't happen. No more twisted ankles YAY!

they need to be waterproof i for some reason like to run in the water if it is around me i do not need to have to look out for water in my path.

I picked up a pair for Shogun II, wore them the entire time. These boot are awesome for the cost, $25 on sale! Nice and light, breath well, good amount of flex, nice ankle support.
