Fatal Paint came and conquered. We made a name for ourselves on both sides of the field. TAW rocks for putting on such a great even, my thanks to Josh and Dustin for pushing themselves as hard as we did. You guys made this a wonderous event.

actuall play time came to approx 15 hours sat, and approx 6 hours sun ( maybe more). i dont think you could have ran with us the whole time. i cant belive i did. i feel like i have lost overall body mass but gained weight... well see tomorrow if i can jog around hte block without having to have a paintball gun in my hand and being in combat.

camping was ten bucks, had ot have a bbq as our firepit due to insurance at the place, it was more of a rv or overnight kinda spot i think. but dana who runs the place is awesome. she even took care of digging my liscence, and 2 credit cards outta a well used dumpster. great people ;)

my ws66 was being a pain in the ass, which was most likly a blessing. i am sure i would have been less efficent with it due to weight in the long run. mag worked like a dream and prolly drew alot more attention that most every other marker out there.

reinsertion after kills is simply re-spawing at whatever is the closest flag that isnt 75 feet from your point of death. so your pretty much going solid if you can do it. we did. we didnt stop. we were like small horny doggies in a room full of legs.

hehe we all had marpat santa hats on the most the whole time, plus we didnt die too often compared to our kill/mission success's. and when we did we did our best to get back to each other plus i am a loud bastard and when i could or was thinking about it i roared FATAL with kills.

i actually was kinda hoping it was going to rain. but that would have reduced numbers i am sure.. soo... uhh ... i didnt like not being in contact with command over the radio, it would have made us way more effecitve of a tool for them to use and abuse. also the slight problems we have with communication over the radio sucked, either my head set or joshs head set sucks ass, i am leaning towards joshs cause his mic is constatnly sticking or doing somethign weird, plus dustin said he could hear me fine when he was using it. i didnt like having to wake up early, but thats normal.

over all it is a great place with vaired terrain, of course theres lots of changes i would make to the "map" but nothing thats would be major, jsut slight tweaks in certin areas. we learned to manipulate several paths of assualt on key areas amazingly well and pretty much devastate forces several times larger than ours time and time again.

and this weekend has definatly taught me alot, i got my first speedball style experiance in which i was gifted with a major ego boost (like i needed that). also it taught me alot about communicating with lots at once and really taking charge and stepping up to the plate so to say, i was worried i was getting a bit pushy on sundays, but now i know that wasnt shit :D i am definatly ready to move forward with this all.

Questions:

How much actual play time did you have over the two days?

play started promptly at 10am (when damian says 10am, he MEANS IT!) and stand down before the night game was at around 5pm. then there was a night game that went from about 7:30 to 11pm or so. the next day, play resumed at 10am, and stopped at around 3:30 for a short stand-down before the 30 minute 'blender' basically all 200+ players from both sides in a giant speedball feild trying to get as many players on the other side of the 50 yard line as possible to score points.

How was the camping?

the surface was soft grass... I had no problems getting to sleep the first night dispite the cold... the second night I had just too much adrenaline and a massive headache. I think the only thing i would add to our list of things to bring is a table, an ez up, an a portable camping stove

Any marker issues?

I had none, but of course I jus used my spyder all weekend... I even got a free 'christmas gift' from the producer (a barrel)

Re-insertion times?
0. as soon as you make it back to a flag station that your army controls, you tag the flag and you're back in and ready to rock. I was doing so well all weekend I amazed myself at times... I tried my damndest to keep a 'kill card' of number of elinimations... I don't know the exact number as I lost track but I averaged 10+ kills before I was out, even in the blender I got out 2 times, once on a run to the 60 and another trying to direct traffic (stop people from stacking the bunkers as noobs often do)

Easy to find you team after being killed and reinserted?
everyone screaming "FATAL!" every couple of minutes made it so easy. not to mention once we started running missions, we didn't stop... so we knew were each other were going to be at any given time... if we had a mission to overun the enemy CP... if we were tagged out, we just ran back to the enemy CP and started screaming "FATAL!"

Things you didn't like?
couple of assholes with about $1000 in gear plus their opsgear tippmanns...
you really can't find stuff to complain about when your team wins honors of MVT and everyone on the forums is singing your praise. We all had a kick ass time and there's no way in hell i'm missing the next one!
